Lemon oil 5-fold is a concentrated form of the simple lemon oil. It is obtained from the ripe fruit peel of the lemon. The raw material is processed into a concentrated form by distillation or rectification. During gentle processing, further valuable components are obtained by fractionation in order to produce high-quality products for the flavor and fragrance industry. The 5-fold oil is only one of many ways of concentrating the essential citrus oils. In addition to rectification, technologies such as liquid-liquid extraction, chromatography, high-pressure CO2 extraction and molecular distillation can also be used to produce other premium-quality ingredients.
